Summer Programs for Most Ages

Perch Behavioral Health is a trusted partner of both public and private schools in the Puget Sound area. During the academic year, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (BTs) create intensive programming to work 1:1 with learners of all ages in school, community, and home settings. In the summer, our group enjoys getting to know new students through joy-based learning rooted in the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and implemented by staff trained specifically to support those with more exceptional behavioral needs.

For 8 weeks in the summer of 2025, Perch will offer weekday summer programming in Seattle. Campers will be grouped by age/grade.

More about Perch summer programming:

Camp Leaders

Perch Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Licensed Assistant Behavior Analysts (LABAs) are licensed and registered through the WA-DOH and Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB); they hold graduate degrees in Education, Special Education, or Applied Behavior Analysis. Perch BCBAs are dedicated to prioritizing a learner’s dignity at all times, using systems of reinforcement rather than punitive measures to teach, and creating safe, fun, experiences to keep everyone “Happy, Relaxed, and Engaged”! BCBAs are experts in teaching social skills including perspective taking, social communication, problem solving, and self-advocacy.

Camp Perch BCBAs will design activities for the campers in which the BTs are able to easily embed learning that looks and feels like play (because it is!)

Group Leaders (BTs)

Perch Registered Behavior Technicians (BTs) are licensed and registered through the Washington Department of Health and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. They receive direct oversight and training from their BCBA supervisors, participate in quarterly all-staff education, and complete annual safety training. Most of Perch’s BTs hold or are in the process of earning undergraduate degrees in Psychology, Child Development, Education, or another related field. Many plan to become BCBAs themselves!
